Library Design

Now designers are able and free to take liberties creativity and create public spaces that are attractive, community-based and unique aesthetic Because of the changing nature of library policy.

LYCS, architectural firm, took the newly acquired freedom surrounding creative design library and presented a concept design for the library of the University and China Jiaxing Media Center modernism and traditionalism juxtaposed and integrated and organic. Guided by project managers Ruan Hao, Zhan Yuan and Devin Jernigan and with a team of experts who includies Vedrana Puhalo, Jin Shanliang, Max Peterschmidt, Li Yan and Chen Rong, the duration of the development phase library from from 2012 until its completion in 2014.
Architectural Visualization
With the site which covers 42,000 square meters, it is essential for designers that the building is connected to itself and its environment.

In the realization of this idea, the designers presented a vision of the building as one that is completely overwhelmed by the organic matter. From rivers and woods surrounding the courtyard inward focus and rooftop gardens, connecting the building to the vast body will be optimized by the inclusion of a highly glazed facade.
Architectural Rendering
The development will be built on a triangular floor plate, maximizing outdoor view. The emphasis on the connection of the natural environment and the built environment is also reflected in the presentation of the building, which calls on all stairways and ramps should be grouped in the center of the building to does not block the opening to the outside.

Curtain walls allow plenty of natural light to filter into the library and also insulation and remove excess solar gain.

About Olympic Building

Usually, before design a new architecture, we need to consider that whether it can integrate into current architecture and environment. Take Olympics for example, host cities face the challenge of maintaining the structures built specifically for these events and integrating them into the current built environment.
Architectural Rendering
Modern Olympic Games have often been lambasted for failing to provide an architectural legacy. According to a study, the overall loss of private and public consumption comes in at $2.1 billion, with the upfront venue development costs sitting at $1.9 billion, leading to the conclusions that the Olympic facilities did not offer great return on investment.

While the 2012 Olympic Games are a far different story. London Mayor Boris Johnson siad, "The difference between London and others is that we’ve taken amazing care with our legacy preparations. We are unlike other host cities at this stage, where six of the eight venues already have their futures assured."

Response was mixed with respect to the London Olympic's overall green ambitions and how this was delivered, particularly in terms of renewable energy use.

About Urban Planning

Our cities are facing density crisis. So urban planning is more important now than ever before. One of the key urban planning in a cultural context, social and environmental moves to the broad objectives of sustainable development of the world's urban regeneration a sustainable holistic perspective. It is redeveloping urban areas that include one or more of the pillars of sustainable living: economic renewal, social and environmental thanks to the design.

WAN AWARDS 2012 Urban Regeneration List welcomes projects that convey regeneration in a way that is "more than doing what was unattractive and ugly a good place to be, but how can that inspires the way people live and interact with the city, "says jury member AMJ Finished projects and the Cathedral Group creative director Martyn Evans.

Successful developments include Guthrie Urban Green Park in Tulsa, United States by SWA Group and Houtan Park, Shanghai, China Turenscape.

Urban regeneration only get into second gear. While urban planning in cities across the world now revolves around managing growth, reclaiming urban space and improved methods of planning and development of the former offers plenty of opportunity in the sector.

Cooled Conservatories at Gardens by the Bay, Singapore, has won the World Building of the Year Award at the prestigious World Architecture Festival (WAF) Awards 2012. The awards are divided into three main sections: Completed Buildings, Landscape Architecture, and Future Projects (for designs in progress). The project was designed by Wilkinson Eyre, Grant Associates, Atelier One and Atelier Ten.

Located in Marina Bay, Gardens by the Bay is a key project in delivering the Singapore Government’s vision of transforming Singapore into a ‘City in a Garden’. At a total of 101 hectares, the Gardens by the Bay project comprises three distinct waterfront gardens – Bay South, Bay East and Bay Central. Sitting in the heart of Bay South Garden, the Cooled Conservatory Complex provides a spectacular, all-weather attraction, comprising a 1.28 hectare cool dry conservatory (the ‘Flower Dome’) and a 0.73 hectare cool moist conservatory (the ‘Cloud Forest’). Ekler Architect Design Twin Houses

Architectural Visualization

The spacious site offered a chance to locate and form the houses freely. The fortunate South-East orientation and the marvellous view both collide with the approach. Therefore, oriented to that direction a cantilevered structure facilitates the living areas overhanging above the garages. Side loggias turning out from the main volume accommodate the representative guest door on the east side and the garden exit on the west. The composition of the buildings is based on the rotation of three volumes around a base point which allocates the individual spaces to optimal positions, and provides diverse visual character to the houses from every side view.

It is twin houses, designed by Ekler Architect. It is stand in a garden suburb of a city in East Hungary. The clients, two good friends wished to build only slightly different houses which are situated on a hillside covered by acacia grove. The two-storey buildings contain service rooms in the basement (garage, wellness room, storage, mechanical room) and living areas, rooms on the ground floor facing the hillside.

Looking Back to 2012 Zaha Hadid Architects' Design

2012 will pass soon. Looking back to the whole year of architecture industry, there are many wonderful design. Here show some about Zaha Hadid's Design during the year.

Pierrevives, Montpellier, France-The most important building by zaha Hadid since Guangzhou Opera House opened at the start of 2011. It is on a major scale, but more than that it is almost without compromise, a huge example of the architect pushing her fluid style to limits other architects can't reach.
"If I named this building after a quote from one of the greatest authors of Humanism, it is because public investment is not only a response to the needs of the moment, in this instance re-housing the archives and multimedia library of Hérault, but also a vision for the future of public service and urban planning."

Jockey Club Innovation Tower, Hong Kong, China-The Hong Kong Polytechnic University (PolyU) has topped out of the Jockey Club Innovation Tower on its campus. Designed by Zaha Hadid Architects the 15-storey tower will become the new home for the PolyU School of Design and the newly established Jockey Club Design Institute for Social Innovation. The new building will be 76m high.

Galaxy SOHO, Beijing, China-This project is a 330,000 sqm office, retail and entertainment complex. The architecture is a composition of five continuous, flowing volumes that are set apart, fused or linked by stretched bridges. These volumes adapt to each other in all directions, generating a panoramic architecture without corners or abrupt transitions that break the fluidity of its formal composition. This is yet another major buidling completion by architect Zaha Hadid, and coming so shortly after pierrevives it cements the studio's worldwide reputation. The architectural rendering and architectural visualization were created by frontop.

Eli and Edythe Broad Art Museum, Michigan State University, USA-Designed by Pritzker Prize-winner Zaha Hadid, the 46,000 sqft Broad Art Museum at MSU features a striking façade of pleated stainless steel and glass, making a clear and positive contrast to the traditional campus buildings close by. The building will present a collection of more than 7,500 objects, ranging from the Greek to modern art. The building features galleries for special exhibitions, modern and contemporary art, new media, photography and works on paper.

Kasumigaoka National Stadium, Tokyo, Japan-Zaha Hadid Architects has won the international competition to build the new National Stadium of Japan. The studio was selected ahead of 45 other international architecture firms for the US $1.62bn development. Japanese architect Tadao Ando chaired the jury which included British architects Richard Rogers and Norman Foster. Ando praised the fluidity and innovation of Hadid's design and how it complements Tokyo's landscape. "The entry's dynamic and futuristic design embodies the messages Japan would like to convey to the rest of the world," said Tadao.

Pleated Shell Structures, SCI-Arc Gallery, Los Angeles, CA, USA-Oct 25 2012 - Zaha Hadid’s installation at the SCI-Arc Gallery represents an "evolution of architectural methodologies related to self-supporting, curved surface geometries". The show combines parametric design (algorithmic form generation) with research by 20th century designers such as Frei Otto, Felix Candela and Heinz Isler. By integrating form-finding methods, Zaha Hadid expands upon Frei Otto’s material explorations and creates double curved surfaces through computational simulations : Zaha Hadid SCI-Arc Installation - SCI Arc Architecture News

House for Naomi Campbell, Moscow, Russia-This is a futuristic home for Russian billionaire Vladislav Doronin and his girlfriend Supermodel Naomi Campbell. Zaha Hadid was asked to design the residence to look like a spaceship. The extraordinary home features a tower that pushes high to gain good views. This unusual residence has an area of 2,650 sqm and is located Barvikha, Moscow.
